Our Timber Trail biking packages include accommodation, shuttles, meals and bag transfers, so you can book your whole adventure in one place.
Packages start in Ongarue, with secure parking for your vehicle with Timber Trail Shuttles and Bike Hire. We then shuttle you to the lodge, or the start of the trail.

Two night package
The ultimate way to experience the Timber Trail
2 nights at the lodge and 2 days on the trail
From $590 per person*
Our most popular package, the Two Night Package gives you the time to fully enjoy the Timber Trail.
Arriving at the lodge the evening before you start your ride ensures you start the trail well rested, and can make the most of the Pureora Forest and the exceptional service at the lodge.
What's included?
Your accommodation cost includes all meals; continental and cooked breakfasts both mornings, evening meals and dessert both nights, a post-ride snack after your first day on the trail, and packed lunches for each day of your ride. You may like to bring other snacks.
Two night package shuttle add-on includes:
- Evening shuttle from Ongarue to the Timber Trail Lodge with your luggage
- Morning shuttle from the Timber Trail Lodge to the start of the trail at Pureora Village
- Luggage transfer from the Timber Trail Lodge to Ongarue
- Optional shuttle from Bennet Road to Ongarue shuttle base
- Secure parking for your vehicle at Ongarue

One night package
Experience the whole Timber Trail
1 night at the lodge and 2 days on the trail
From $295 per person *
Our One Night Package is ideal for those wanting to ride the full length of the Timber Trail, but maybe have less time. You would need to be at Ongarue Shuttle base by 8am for the shuttle, so it could mean an early start!
What's included?
Your accommodation cost includes all meals; a post-ride snack after your first day on the trail, an evening meal with dessert, continental and cooked breakfast, and a packed lunch on your second day. You will need to provide lunch for your first day on the trail and any snacks.
One Night Package Shuttle Add-on includes:
- Morning shuttle from Ongarue to the start of the Timber Trail at Pureora Village
- Luggage transfer from to the Timber Trail Lodge
- Luggage transfer from the Timber Trail Lodge to Ongarue
- Secure parking for your vehicle at Ongarue

Southern Explorer
A taste of the Timber Trail (45km)
1 night at lodge and 1 day on southern section of the trail

The Southern Explorer provides a taste of the Timber Trail and the full lodge experience. An ideal starting point if you don’t think the full trail is for you, or if you’re a little tight on time.
What's included?
Your accommodation cost includes all meals; an evening meal with dessert, continental and cooked breakfast and a packed lunch to take with you for your ride. You may like to bring other snacks.
Southern Explorer Shuttle Add-on includes:
- Evening shuttle from Ongarue to the Timber Trail Lodge with your bikes and luggage
- Optional shuttle from Bennet Road to Ongarue shuttle base
- Luggage transfer from the Timber Trail Lodge to Ongarue
- Secure parking for your vehicle at Ongarue

Bike and ebike hire
If you don't have your own bike, you can hire one with your biking package.
We have selected our hire bikes specifically for the Timber Trail, so you'll have a great ride.
Choose from our range of Trek Roscoe 7 hardtail front suspension mountain bikes or the Trek Powerfly 4 ebikes (front and full suspension options available).
To book, select your accommodation and shuttles, and you'll find bike hire under Services and Add-ons.
Vehicle Relocation*
Drive to the start and we'll take care of the rest
Let us transfer your vehicle from the start of the trail at Pureora Village to the end of the trail at Ongarue, where it will be securely parked at our shuttle base.
You can book vehicle and luggage transfers when you book your accommodation.
*Subject to availability of staff on your chosen dates. This service requires minimum numbers booked on the shuttle to run.
