Motorhome Package: Park, Ride, Stay

The ultimate package for motorhome adventurers is our one night package.

Here’s how it works:

1. Park: Arrive at our Ongarue depot in the afternoon or evening before you ride. We have flat and secure motorhome parking at our depot.

2. Ride day one: After spending the night in your motorhome, take the 8:30 AM shuttle to Pureora. Ride the northern section of the trail, arriving at the lodge in the afternoon.

3. Stay at the Lodge: Enjoy complimentary pizza followed by a delicious dinner. Relax in our comfortable accommodation.

4. Ride day two: After a hearty breakfast, collect your packed lunch and continue your ride along the southern section of the trail, ending back at your vehicle in Ongarue.

While our carpark in Ongarue offers secure parking, it does not provide power, water, or waste disposal. For these services, Taumaranui, a motorhome-friendly town, is just 20 minutes away.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Timber Trail Lodge. The lodge is completely off the grid while still being modern, comfortable and welcoming. Great weekend doing the Timber Trail, 2 nights at the Timber Trail Lodge worked perfectly. Fantastic local knowledge and stories from Rob in the shuttle, Kia Ora Rob! Accommodation is superb, clean and comfortable rooms, great food after a good days MTB riding and a beer or 2 from the bar. Locally owned and operated with great stewardship of local environment and land. Thoroughly recommended!

Loved this place. Family of 6 adults had a ball. Everything is well organised. Rooms excellent, great food.and a pizza to keep you going after your first days riding. You do need to be fit enough to get there! Go for the full package. It’s worth it.
